Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Martin. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 6 minutes. This gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. 8 minutes into the match, Martin's M. Walch demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to C. Kuhni who chipped it in for 1 - 1. Down the middle came E. Chiesa, making a fantastic play that nearly had Martin take the lead after 14 minutes, but W. Tian Han preserved the tie. Grilled made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left W. Ping Shun completely alone with keeper J. Vestersjö, who made a spectacular block. With 17 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Martin resulted in a counterattack that set A. Houtmeyers free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. C. Kuhni came close to putting the visiting team one up 20 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but W. Tian Han managed to tip the ball to a corner. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 26 minutes into the match, and E. Chiesa wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

The crowd was on its feet 49 minutes into the match, as Grilled's W. Ping Shun found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 2 - 2 equaliser. After a fine move down the middle W. Shun An nearly gave the home side a goal after 55 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. The home side put themselves ahead 3 - 2 after 74 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from 田. 勇航 (Yonghang), who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. As the game started to slip away for Martin, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. The Martin coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. After 74 minutes, Martin used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. C. Kuhni of Martin displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered C. Meyer and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 3 - 3. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 76 minutes played, but G. Filippone's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. After 83 minutes, Martin's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. Grilled created a good opportunity to score 85 minutes into the match when L. Aik Jia's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Grilled had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang). However, G. Filippone made a disastrous appearance. Martin's top performer was clearly C. Kuhni. E. Chiesa was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
