Helengeli started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Shaahee - Srienz, Regimbald, Biskupsky - Mohamed, Schellewald, Choi, Borges, Hameed - Hoogervorst, Valderrama.

They were singing the praises of M. bin Mohd Kassim 12 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Grilled. Helengeli tied it all up, 15 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by J. Schellewald, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. After 16 minutes, Helengeli's D. Hameed made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. After 20 minutes of play, C. Ying Lee equalised for Grilled after an elegant attack from the right. With 24 minutes played, G. Filippone of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. C. Ying Lee's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 25 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to M. bin Mohd Kassim who knocked it in for Grilled. 3 - 2! After 26 minutes, Helengeli were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. J. Schellewald did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. R. Valderrama tied the game at 3 - 3 after 27 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. 3 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 56 percent of the ball.

Helengeli's T. Mohamed managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 57 minutes. 3 - 4. L. Aik Jia made a nice dash down the wing after 65 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 74 minutes played, M. bin Mohd Kassim of Grilled made the score 4 - 4. At that, M. bin Mohd Kassim was noted down for a hat trick! Grilled took the lead 78 minutes into the game by 5 - 4, as C. Ying Lee elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Helengeli manager used a brief break in play after 79 minutes to give the players new directives. The visitors' C. Borges was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 5 - 5 after 80 minutes. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. M. bin Mohd Kassim caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 107 minutes. This gave Grilled the 6 - 5 lead. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 朱. 长春 (Changchun) increasing the lead to 7 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 112 minutes into the match, the speedy C. Ying Lee easily outpaced P. Regimbald, chipped the keeper and made the score 8 - 5. That made three goals for C. Ying Lee and he was marked down for the hat trick. W. Shun An could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 115 minutes. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang). L. Lee Hao was a disappointment, however. Most important Helengeli player was R. Valderrama. However, M. Srienz made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 5.
