Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. With 18 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as L. Viejo flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Z. Jing Wei from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 21 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! L. Yeow Tong's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for QUT, he bravely continued in the match. M. Wendt could have put QUT up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 27 minutes. QUT increased the lead as B. Berényi struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Grilled's right side looked dangerous after 34 minutes, as 朱. 长春 (Changchun) broke through. F. Patau continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

Cheers filled the stadium as B. Berényi broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to QUT. By now, the players in QUT felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 53 minutes in, QUT's L. Viejo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. B. Berényi squirmed through their central defence after 54 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for B. Berényi. QUT had to make a substitution after 67 minutes. J. Ohlah limped off the field and was replaced by D. Elpons. 69 minutes into the match, the speedy B. Kaban easily outpaced W. Shun An, chipped the keeper and made the score 5 - 0. S. Zappalà left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. I. Lavento was the replacement. Grilled were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 70 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to C. Ying Lee, who smashed it home to make the score 5 - 1. M. bin Mohd Kassim of Grilled seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 5 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by W. Ping Shun. After 73 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by QUT was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. The away team improved the scoreline to 5 - 3, as 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) struck home, set up well by a play on the left 77 minutes into the match. With 88 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. D. Bögengang came on, C. Ying Lee had to leave the fray. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

B. Berényi performed admirably for QUT. However, D. Myrvig made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . K. Rykowski turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 3.
