DSL mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled took the lead 9 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. G. Filippone was the scorer. After 13 minutes, J. Pizarro made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. With 15 minutes played, G. Filippone of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 21 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Z. Jing Wei put the ball away for 1 - 2. DSL will have to do without K. Kurz for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 34 minute mark. He was substituted by A. bin Hassan. Grilled increased their lead after 38 minutes when M. bin Mohd Kassim broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. Some fine movement on the left led to a Grilled goal after 39 minutes, making it 1 - 4. M. bin Mohd Kassim was noted down as the scorer. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 4. Grilled had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

80 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 5 as 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The home crowd was not impressed when C. Meyer came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 82 minutes. Grilled were now up 1 - 6. After 86 minutes, Grilled's C. Ying Lee burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 7. DSL's J. Pizarro managed a superb strike from the left after 87 minutes that would have left goalkeeper W. Tian Han without a chance, had it not hit the post. G. Filippone left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 88 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. R. bin Ahmad was the replacement. With 89 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 1 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was R. bin Ahmad. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

DSL's top performer was clearly M. Boost. On the other hand, A. bin Hassan's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . C. Meyer on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 8.
