Joshua 'Teddy Bear' Campbell was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mariano Burgman and Mehmet Kanteper. Flames tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Wiles - Strandheim, Zolich, Tufeanu - Dotan, Temmerman, Schafrath, Debert, Kärkkäinen - Stetson, Lakatos.

Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Lineup: Tian Han - Meyer, Filippone - Ping Shun, 长春 (Changchun), Shun An, Jing Wei, Lee Hao - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, E. Lakatos scored for Flames putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 11 minutes. 15 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as S. Temmerman broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Flames. After 23 minutes C. Ying Lee seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Grilled making it 2 - 1. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Flames to 3 - 1 as Q. Debert finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. A bit later, Grilled's Z. Jing Wei easily reduced the lead to 3 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 36 minutes in, Grilled's W. Ping Shun received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. E. Lakatos increased the lead for Flames to 4 - 2, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! It was 4 - 2 at the break. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

67 minutes into the match, Grilled replied and reduced the lead to 4 - 3. M. bin Mohd Kassim scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. The referee showed Flames's P. Strandheim the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Flames solidified their lead at the 69 minute mark, as Q. Debert dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 3. The players of Flames now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) almost seemed to dance around P. Strandheim, his movements were so smooth. Unfortunately for Grilled, his finish ended up on the wrong side of the post. The visitors replied 76 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 5 - 4, as 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. R. Stetson should probably have put his team up another goal after 80 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by W. Tian Han kept the visitors in the game. The bench was restless, and with 88 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave A. bin Jantan the opportunity the player had been hoping for. C. Meyer reluctantly left the field. Flames claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Flames's best player was E. Lakatos. J. Wiles turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . A. bin Jantan was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 4.
