Soni, Zaidi Leave
Chicken Wings forward Vidnyesh Soni and Rancher Rabbits sweeper Mahmud Zaidi moved on early this morning, as they opted to further their careers abroad.
Soni had received a tentative offer from Brombeer FC, whom had just taken Rabbits player Stephen Li on, but he could not resist the lure of experiencing Bulgaria with restructuring Division Six club CSKA UNlTED. Russian coach Miron Kanaev had been stockpiling talent on the cheap, and the creative Soni became another of his fine acquisitions.
Zaidi would be taken up by likewise newly-formed Chilean Division Six club CA Patas Blancas, where he will don their steel-grey home uniform. Yip De Da felt that Zaidi had been one of the Rabbits' best performers in his time that, but also that his 18 years worked against him.
"He joined us a year or two too late. Had we gotten Zaidi when he was fifteen or less, I daresay he would have been on the top of many recruiting lists. As it is, there's still plenty of room for him to grow."
