His replacement was F. Hengen. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 33 minutes played, but 朱. 长春 (Changchun)'s cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Manchester were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 34 minutes into the match, but M. Närhi narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. 36 minutes into the game, F. Hengen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came L. Ruokonen. Grilled's G. Filippone was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. 40 minutes into the game, Manchester seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused L. Ruokonen - and the finish was no less spectacular - 2 - 1! Halftime score was 2 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.

The Manchester players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a passable organisation when the game started again.
