Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Sommet. Grilled's 朱. 长春 (Changchun) scored to make the score 1 - 0 after 2 minutes by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent keeper no other option than to pick the ball out of the net. Grilled solidified their lead at the 5 minute mark, as R. van der Ban dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. 24 minutes in, Sommet appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. J. Nata behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 29 minutes as he gave the ball away to C. Ying Lee. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. A great save by keeper J. Gauthéron after 38 minutes kept the visitors in the game after H. Bakhtiar struck from the left with a real cannonball. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. van Teylingen from Sommet a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 39 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! It was 2 - 0 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 75 percent of possession.

During the break, Sommet's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. R. van der Ban wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by C. Awyong. 50 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. bin Mohd Kassim broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Grilled. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like N. Gbadamassi. Sommet's counterattacks created a good chance for J. Tapia on the right after 53 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. C. Awyong of Grilled seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 4 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by C. bin Sabtu. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, Q. Madaini came on for R. bin Ahmad. Sommet had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 84 minutes, but F. van Teylingen's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Wan Kang got himself booked. The manager of Grilled was not happy. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 朱. 长春 (Changchun). K. Rykowski was a disappointment, however. Sommet's top performer was clearly F. van Teylingen. However, S. Ungía made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 0.
