After 28 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. The referee showed Singapore's J. Geyer the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With the scoreboard showing that 41 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after M. bin Mohd Kassim came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Singapore had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 42 minutes, but J. Geyer's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) got himself booked for a foul. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 43 minutes into the match. C. bin Sabtu surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 69 percent of the ball.

After 55 minutes of game time, C. bin Sabtu had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but T. Shi Ah was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. 61 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Z. Jing Wei wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Cisquell after 89 minutes. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.

The most dominating Singapore player was without a doubt T. Shi Ah. M. Frymark on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's top performer was clearly 朱. 长春 (Changchun). C. bin Sabtu was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
