A bit later, Grilled's M. bin Mohd Kassim easily reduced the lead to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 41 minutes into the game, Grilled had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. After 42 minutes, F. Józefacki put colonel ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 43 minutes into the game, Grilled's attack got through on the right, but Z. Jing Wei couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

During the break, Grilled's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. 62 minutes in, colonel's J. Sotomayor received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 66 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to wretched. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Sotomayor squirmed through their central defence after 67 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. N. Walsh made a brilliant save 69 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Q. Madaini on the right hand side. As usual, W. Shun An tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 80 minutes M. bin Mohd Kassim made way for L. Wan Kang. With 85 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. S. Fu came on, R. bin Ahmad had to leave the fray. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

The most dominating colonel player was without a doubt S. Başsoy. H. Rama on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's top performer was clearly 田. 勇航 (Yonghang). S. Fu was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
