Niki´s clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. The visitors could have taken the lead from a free kick after 6 minutes, if it wasn't for the jaw-dropping save by E. Carnevale. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, K. Arpiainen scored for Niki´s putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 13 minutes. W. Ping Shun was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! The visitors didn't give in and, after 35 minutes, 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. 37 minutes in, Niki´s's K. Arpiainen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 朱. 长春 (Changchun) of Grilled had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. Q. Madaini came in to finish the match. Good work by the Niki´s defensive line after 40 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found N. Goncharov alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

After 70 minutes, Grilled put themselves up 1 - 2, as W. Shun An finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. Niki´s's N. Goncharov made a successful breakthrough on the left after 71 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. A well placed corner kick from N. Callegati was followed by M. Mullins's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Niki´s, the score now 2 - 2. K. Arpiainen was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Niki´s's defence 74 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 3 - 2. G. Filippone finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 3 - 3 83 minutes into the match. Niki´s were very close to putting themselves one up after 84 minutes as F. Stahlberger got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. 85 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. A. bin Jantan gave L. Aik Jia a quick hug as he left the field. N. Goncharov would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. F. Scavazzini entered the game for Niki´s as the match clock showed 85 minutes. 86 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Niki´s substitution. A. Thomasson came on for C. Bom. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 58 percent of the ball.

After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. The crowd groaned its disapproval when N. Callegati missed a free kick that would have given Niki´s the lead after 97 minutes. 98 minutes into the game, W. Shun An almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Grilled's M. bin Mohd Kassim managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 109 minutes. 3 - 4. After 110 minutes, Grilled's W. Ping Shun fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! A drive down the left side allowed L. Aik Jia to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 114 minutes, taking the score to 3 - 5. W. Shun An wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 119 minutes into the game by C. bin Sabtu. K. Arpiainen performed admirably for Niki´s. S. Galvis turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Grilled player was 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . On the other hand, C. bin Sabtu's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 5.
