Void focused on getting players in position for long range shots. Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Void focused on finding shooting opportunities from distance and after 17 minutes B. Goekint fired off the big cannon, but the shot went sailing over the cross bar and into the car park. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to A. Brown, but the Void player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Grilled tied it all up, 54 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) , who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. Grilled had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 65 minutes in when 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) came up alone against J. Markmann who managed a block. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Z. Jing Wei from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 69 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! In a fantastic display of determination, Void's J. Markmann forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. 77 minutes into the game, M. bin Mohd Kassim almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, W. Shun An had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. N. Vandeneynde reluctantly made way for R. bin Ahmad on the pitch. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

R. Kjellholt performed admirably for Void. A. Paoletti was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly C. Ying Lee. However, W. Ping Shun made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
