After 38 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed M. bin Mohd Kassim to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 42 minutes, Grilled did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, M. bin Mohd Kassim was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 3. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

After 57 minutes of game time, C. Ying Lee had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but 袁. 其宾 (Qibin) was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Sensing defeat in the air, the Young manager directed C. Coiffier and D. van der Ven to change positions with each other. This was 60 minutes into the match. Jing Wei neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 85 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. L. Wan Kang was the replacement. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Young's top performer was clearly D. van der Ven. However, 袁. 其宾 (Qibin) made a disastrous appearance. C. Ying Lee performed admirably for Grilled. H. Noubaryan on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
