Grilled 3 - 4 Manchester

e 67552 fans in attendance at The Cooking Pot were roasting in the hot sun. Arwed Hiestand was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alessandro Bella and Vincent Van Hoorde. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Lineup: Kryus - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Madaini - Shaahee, 长春 (Changchun), Shun An, Jing Wei, bin Jantan - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Manchester had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Lazzaretto - Heijn, Ovelar - Buda, Coca, Briet, Steinboeck, Paschini - Margue, Baturay, Bugaev.

A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 23 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim to one side and produced a red card for the player. The visiting Gastón Ovelar was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 26 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Shiya Shaahee found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. Manchester's Ferry Heijn got himself booked for a foul. 32 minutes in, and Grilled were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when Zhao Jing Wei picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 35 minutes allowed Ferry Heijn to score for Manchester. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. The visitors' Valentin Bugaev took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 36 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Manchester. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Dumitru Coca from Manchester a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 38 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Halftime score was 1 - 3. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Usually a powerful player on the field, Woon Shun An looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. Qassem Madaini almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. Some fine movement on the left led to a Manchester goal after 80 minutes, making it 1 - 4. Constantin Buda was noted down as the scorer. The players of Manchester now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. A marvellous Grilled effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 85 minutes by Chow Ying Lee, making the score 2 - 4. Grilled's Shiya Shaahee cut towards the middle after 87 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 3 - 4. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Most important Grilled player was Chow Ying Lee. However, Edmund Kryus made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Manchester player was without a doubt Valentin Bugaev. Remo Paschini on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 4.
