Swashbucklers 4 - 2 Grilled
219 spectators arrived at
Saraca Sanctuary, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Paul Bentsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Fiorenzo De Palma and
Vegard Øien. Swashbucklers tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Starters: Sandy - de Nadal, Lim, Paniagua, Thắng Cảnh - bin Japperi, Wei Feng, Ah Ping, Afi, Tang - Prasertsakul.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Lineup: Kryus - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Madaini - bin Jantan, 长春 (Changchun), Jing Wei, 尊文 (Zunwen) , Shun An - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
Swashbucklers were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled's
Zhao Jing Wei gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 8 minutes with a superb strike from the right. The crowd was on its feet 41 minutes into the match, as Swashbucklers's
Pichai Prasertsakul found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 1 - 1 equaliser. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 51 percent of the ball.
Grilled took the lead 54 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle.
Chow Ying Lee was the scorer. After 60 minutes of play,
Lim Wei Feng equalised for Swashbucklers after an elegant attack from the right. Swashbucklers broke through on the left 61 minutes into the game, with
Adrian Tang firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 3 - 2 lead. Swashbucklers's
Wong Ah Ping increased the lead to 4 - 2, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 75 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
Swashbucklers's best player was
Wong Ah Ping.
Adrian Tang on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim performed admirably for Grilled.
Woon Shun An turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
