Grilled 5 - 1 Penguins
83 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Lauri Riippi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Thomas Blanco and
Kurt Rosenau. Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Noubaryan - Bakhtiar, Ross, Awyong - Shaahee, bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee, 勇航 (Yonghang) , 福泉 (Fuquan) - Bacelar, Bellamoli.
Penguins had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Starters: Maslov - Shamshiddinov, Jaudes - Renat Uulu, Corcodel, Iris Ali, Stefanik, Szaraniec - Luchinskiy, Anikeev, Bektur Uulu.
Penguins preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance.
Pompeo Bellamoli of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Penguins's
Yuriy Anikeev managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 15 minutes. 0 - 1. After 17 minutes of play,
田. 勇航 (Yonghang) equalised for Grilled after an elegant attack from the right.
Filip Szaraniec of Penguins received a yellow card after 27 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.
46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
梁. 力勇 (Liyong) came on for
凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) .
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 With 67 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
田. 勇航 (Yonghang) , who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . At last, Grilled's
Colby Awyong was able to backheel the ball in. 4 - 1.
Pompeo Bellamoli wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by
Seytek Djekshenkulov. After 70 minutes, Penguins switched
Izzat Bektur Uulu with
Leonard Forbes, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. After 78 minutes,
Seytek Djekshenkulov put Grilled ahead 5 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 80 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Djan Bacelar might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Yosyp Maslov made a spectacular save. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
Seytek Djekshenkulov from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 83 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Adam Luchinskiy was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Penguins's
Jon-Ander De Cangas had to come off the bench. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
Seytek Djekshenkulov performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand,
Hovaness Noubaryan's play was disheartening. Penguins's best player was
Leonard Forbes.
Yosyp Maslov turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
