Tan's Dutch Split
Fulfilling Chicken Wings teammate Chan Siong Meng's expectations, Tan Keng Kuan likewise won a contract abroad, as he moved to the Netherlands' FC Houtkamp on a free. Tan is hopeful of featuring often in his new Division Eight club's red-with-black stripes, but there will be no lack of competition from the likes of Christoffer Menetetter and Octavian-Marius Toma.
Tan, whose other offer came from Amsterdam-based Division Four side WhiteBears, indicated that he was more than happy to pick Houtkamp. "It was tempting to go to a bigger-named side, but I'm most concerned about getting to play in real matches right now, and for that the choice was clear." the 18 year-old left winger explained.
