Rapalites 3 - 3 Grilled
palites tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. They fielded: Tebbitt - Sauleda, Daire - Leaşcu, Veremeenko, Caxaria, Bernhauer, Nanotti - Peñarrubia, Nilo, Huhtamäki.
Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Stacey - Ross, 俊桂 (Jungui), Madaini - 尊文 (Zunwen), Shun An, Fonseca, Djekshenkulov - 勇航 (Yonghang), Ying Lee, bin Mohd Kassim.
Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for team Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle to get them on. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 2 minutes allowed
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. The visitors'
Chow Ying Lee took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 8 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Grilled. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rapalites, with 51 percent of the ball.
After 47 minutes, Grilled's
Chow Ying Lee burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when
Jesús Peñarrubia scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 3. Rapalites's
Jesús Peñarrubia got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 2 - 3. 67 minutes into the match, Rapalites's
José Alberto Nilo maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 3 - 3. As the 70 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Walter Ross reluctantly made way for
Shiya Shaahee on the pitch. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Alex Fonseca gave
Abdul bin Jantan a quick hug as he left the field. Rapalites claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
Rapalites's best player was
Joni Huhtamäki.
Michele Nanotti was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Chow Ying Lee. On the other hand,
Abdul bin Jantan's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 3.
