Iyer Charmed
18 year-old Chicken Wings winger Abhiram Iyer, who can play forward and midfield almost as well, will be based in Guangxi after Chinese Division Five club China charm took him on a free transfer, their eighth in two days.
The newly-founded outfit has been raiding promising youngsters from around the globe, capturing Denis Grudanov from Kazakhstan, Yam Ravski from Israel and Willard Paup from Australia on the same day, not forgetting the lanky Shi Zhongping, poached from Division Three Jiangsu side WinningEleven.
Iyer will be hoping to emulate fellow "A-lister"
Rauf Khairul Akmal in scoring on his debut, not having found the net in his 23 appearances for the Wings; given that Akmal's own run lasted 29 games, though, it should not be too far-fetched for Grilled's newest expatriate.
