Grilled 6 - 3 Rapalites
rk skies made the crowd of 73937 at The Cooking Pot a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Jorge Duarte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Raul Iacob and
Fabrice Syz. Grilled decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players took the field: Stacey - Madaini, Fonseca - Iten, bin Jantan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
Rapalites had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Hjertsjö - Fouache, Mirskiy, Lockwitz - Truneček, Gervasi, Sudarsono, Lazarević, Verne - Sejersbøl, Simbula.
Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. The visiting
Jean-Yves Fouache was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 10 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. After 19 minutes,
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Grilled's
Alex Fonseca tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. After 30 minutes, following yet another great corner,
Efim Mirskiy knocked the ball to the limit of
Constantin Lockwitz's reach, who just couldn't put it in the net. Grilled made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim completely alone with keeper
Sven Hjertsjö, who made a spectacular block. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 32 minutes into the match left Rapalites's
Gianni Gervasi completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. Grilled was determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. The crowd roared in delight as
朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Grilled 37 minutes into the match. 2 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.
60 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Qassem Madaini gave
Yvan Lefébure a quick hug as he left the field. Grilled was now without a captain, so it was left to
Dexter Stacey to take the captain's armband. After 61 minutes, Rapalites put themselves up by 2 - 3, as
Andrea Simbula finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. 64 minutes into the match, Grilled's
Chow Ying Lee demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim who chipped it in for 3 - 3. Grilled took the lead 65 minutes into the game by 4 to 3, as
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Cheers filled the stadium as
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 5 - 3 goal for Grilled. Grilled's
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) left the field after 71 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai).
唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) increased Grilled's lead to 6 - 3, putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. On the other hand,
Yvan Lefébure's play was disheartening.
Andrea Simbula performed admirably for Rapalites. However,
Jean-Yves Fouache made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 3.
