Arrogancae 1 - 5 Grilled
ather conditions were fairly good for football, and Avengers Apocalypse saw a crowd turnout of 61606.
Zé Caires was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Markko Padar and
Joachim Grzech. Arrogancae had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Lineup: Cazzulati - Geisler, Sing - Urgacz, Jing Wei, bin Kassim, 云滨 (Yunbin), Schouby - Viola, Tevs, bin Sulong.
Grilled tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. They fielded: Stacey - Tzonkov, Madaini - Iten, bin Jantan, 尊文 (Zunwen) , 长春 (Changchun), Djekshenkulov - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.
Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. The defenders were clearly outwitted by Grilled after 5 minutes. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 0 - 1. A penalty was called after 29 minutes, and Grilled's
Paolo Iten made the most of his chance to put his team up by another goal. 0 - 2 for the visitors. The home club's supporters got back into the match when
Kazimierz Urgacz broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their 'keeper off guard, making it 1 - 2. Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim would have put Grilled up another goal 36 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 59 percent of possession.
A series of fine plays up the middle should have led to a goal for Arrogancae, but
Mohd Aiman Wong bin Kassim's shot went over the bar. The visitors'
Slavcho Tzonkov took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 66 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Grilled. As
Slavcho Tzonkov was substituted 67 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead.
Alex Fonseca was the replacement. Some things can only be learned through experience, and
Rudolph Sing should take his lesson to heart after nearly giving Grilled a goal with 71 minutes of the match played. After 75 minutes, Grilled's
Paolo Iten burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 4. After 83 minutes of game time,
Chow Ying Lee had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
Massimo Cazzulati was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner.
朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun) received the short corner, knocked it on to
卢 (lu) 尊文 (Zunwen) who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. 86 minutes into the game,
Massimo Cazzulati had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
Abdul Nasir bin Yusof. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they choose to try attacking in the center instead of on the wing. Grilled's
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 87 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 1 - 5 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. By now, the players in Grilled felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air.
Paolo Iten wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
Yvan Lefébure after 88 minutes. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper
Dexter Stacey and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Arrogancae, but
Thure Schouby's finish was way too lame. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
Arrogancae's top performer was clearly
Girolamo Viola.
Abdul Nasir bin Yusof was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. However,
Alex Fonseca made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 5.
