Batavia needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes Torgeir Mjelde made way for Florian Gueydan. Batavia was now without a captain, so it was left to Ingo Maase to take the captain's armband. 75 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Grilled's Chow Ying Lee received his second yellow card and was sent off. After 78 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by Dan Hartshorne. Slavcho Tzonkov would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Alex Fonseca entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 78 minutes. Making his way up the middle 82 minutes into the match, Alex Fonseca almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Eugen Falkenhusen blocked it to keep the score level.
