Grilled 2 - 1 Sim™
e crowd of 46151 turning up at The Cooking Pot today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Stefan Stensson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Maurice Chevallier and
Raúl de la Mata. Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Stacey - Tzonkov, Madaini, 俊桂 (Jungui) - Djekshenkulov, 长春 (Changchun), Fonseca, Dorogan - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , bin Mohamad.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sim™. The following players had been chosen: Garicaza - Olague, Sarron, Moldván - Lugmeyer, Arcangeli, Jusztin, Kjelling, Rienzo - Kővágó, Brito.
Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. The wings were the focus of most of Sim™'s attacks on this day. Making his way up the middle 3 minutes into the match,
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
Julián Garicaza blocked it to keep the score level.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim sailed high above the opponents as he headed the 1-0 goal in on a corner kick from
Qassem Madaini after 17 minutes of play. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they choose to try attacking in the center instead of on the wing. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Safri bin Mohamad squirmed himself through their central defence after 23 minutes, bringing the lead to 2 - 0. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Filipe Brito showed great fighting spirit and didn't seem to mind the rain at all. Sim™ had to make a substitution after 33 minutes.
Bruno Sarron limped off the field and was replaced by
Peter Mathan. Sim™'s
Boroszló Moldván got himself booked for a foul. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
After an industrious effort down the middle,
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) could have closed the game off after 50 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post.
Dexter Stacey made a brilliant save 74 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from
Zalán Jusztin on the right hand side. The home team's fans were not happy with the visitors'
Damián Olague's great free kick that resulted in Sim™ reducing the score to 2 - 1. Grilled's
Safri bin Mohamad wanted to play on, but 85 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for
Quah Han Kok. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 56 percent of possession.
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim performed admirably for Grilled. However,
Quah Han Kok made a disastrous appearance. Sim™'s top performer was clearly
Claudio Arcangeli.
Damián Olague on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
