Grilled 0 - 1 Changi
187 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Friedrich Nael was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniel Durieux and
Pio Gusmeroli. A 5-2-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. The following players had been chosen: Stacey - Crkvenjakov, Ross, Madaini, 俊桂 (Jungui), Tzonkov - Pujolràs, Fonseca - bin Mohamad, bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee.
Changi started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Sapir - bin Kunju Mohamad, Cevaal, bin Zainal - 泽荣 (Zerong) , Salinas Mila, bin Ismail, Cabrito, bin Hussain - Rusanu, Georgescu.
For their match strategy, Grilled had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a wondrous free kick after 5 minutes, but
Dexter Stacey made a beautiful one-handed save. Changi's
Jesús Salinas Mila refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 9 minutes. After 23 minutes, Changi's
陈 (Chen) 泽荣 (Zerong) made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
Dexter Stacey got a fingertip on
Jadilson Cabrito's shot from the left 37 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Halftime score was 0 - 1. This half belonged to Changi, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
The visitors nearly scored again after 54 minutes, but a superb save by
Dexter Stacey kept
Arnout Cevaal's free kick out of the net. The Changi players could smell victory in the air.
Rãzvan Georgescu wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
Per Nessholt after 55 minutes. After a short break in the 60 minute, Changi seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. The Changi coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 60 minutes into the game. After 65 minutes, Grilled switched
Vukota Crkvenjakov with
Erik Back, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes
Slavcho Tzonkov made way for
Gleb Dorogan. Changi enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Chow Ying Lee. However,
Gleb Dorogan made a disastrous appearance. Most important Changi player was
Arnout Cevaal.
陈 (Chen) 泽荣 (Zerong) on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
