Heaven 0 - 3 Grilled

e 44847 spectators at Arch Angel were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Rob Iser was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Remco Karl Bouneß and Raul Laanesoo. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Jurong derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. A ‭4-5-1‬ alignment was the formation of choice for Heaven. Starters: bin Talib - 安杰 (Anjie) , Wee Kwang, Andreasson, Stoica - Brčvak, Meng Qiang, bin Mohd Nor, 尚轩 (Shangxuan) , 晓华 (Xiaohua) - Chu Ah.

Grilled decided to use a ‭4-3-3‬ set up. The following players took the field: Stacey - Stanca, Madaini, 俊桂 (Jungui), Ross - Lefébure, Pujolràs, Dorogan - 修宇 (Xiuyu), 勇航 (Yonghang) , bin Mohamad.

Heaven clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Grilled. Players in team Heaven heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. 4 minutes into the game Grilled managed a counterattack, but 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Walter Ross enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. The terraces were silenced after 30 minutes when Grilled's Niculae Stanca put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Heaven's 洪 (Hong) 尚轩 (Shangxuan) was shown a yellow card after 34 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With 37 minutes played, Mohd Rosedy bin Mohd Nor went down in a suspected penalty situation after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee, having a good line of sight, signalled to keep playing. Marc Pujolràs increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Heaven's David Andreasson had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 41 minutes having been played. Alfredo Ganca was the replacement. Heaven's Koh Chu Ah managed a superb strike from the left after 42 minutes that would have left goalkeeper Dexter Stacey without a chance, had it not hit the post. Good work by Grilled's defensive line after 43 minutes produced a couple of good counterattack chances, one of which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found Niculae Stanca alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Alfredo Ganca got left behind when Grilled's Safri bin Mohamad made a sudden pull forward after 43 minutes, finishing off with a swift strike. 0 - 3! Heaven's Alfredo Ganca got himself booked for a foul. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Heaven held the ball, with a clear 68 percent of possession.

With the scoreboard showing that 49 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after 林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Marc Pujolràs wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Rosendo Chinchay after 70 minutes. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, Edvaldo Mourão came on for Gleb Dorogan. Heaven claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.

Heaven's best player was Mohd Rosedy bin Mohd Nor. Alfredo Ganca turned in a dismal performance, however. Dexter Stacey performed admirably for Grilled. However, Niculae Stanca made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.
