Grilled 2 - 2 CCP
e 62967 spectators at The Cooking Pot were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Witold Went was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Frederik Norre and
Remigiusz Pietras. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Stacey - Madaini, Ross, 俊桂 (Jungui) - Back, Pujolràs, Fonseca, Dorogan - bin Mohd Kassim, Bögengang, Ying Lee.
CCP started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. They fielded: Takacs - Barilari, Schmidt - Aik Leng, bin Mamud, bin Abu Bakar, Chang De, Daday - Wee Kiong, Bottino, bin Yusop.
For their match strategy, Grilled had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The sun seemed to put
Marc Pujolràs in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. An accurate cross from CCP's
János Daday was met with a wonderful glancing header from
Ng Wee Kiong, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 0 - 1. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 22 minutes into the match, an alert
Domenik Bögengang bagged the ball for Grilled, levelling the score to 1 - 1. 1 - 2 was the score with 29 minutes played, after CCP's
Haji bin Yusop cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. The home crowd cheered when, after 30 minutes,
Deng Aik Leng's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.
With 55 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
Anders Josefsson came on,
Walter Ross had to leave the fray. CCP's
Deng Aik Leng was shown a yellow card after 70 minutes for slicing down an opponent. In a fantastic display of determination, Grilled's
Qassem Madaini forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Grilled's
Marc Pujolràs put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 72 minutes, but the ball went wide. 73 minutes into the match CCP's
János Daday head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. The bench was restless, and in the 75th minute Grilled's coach gave
Rosendo Chinchay the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Qassem Madaini reluctantly left the field. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes
林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) made way for
Yvan Lefébure. Usually a powerful player on the field,
Anders Josefsson looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. 81 minutes into the match, Grilled's
Marc Pujolràs maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. After a fine move down the middle
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim nearly gave the home side a goal after 82 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. CCP's
Zulharisan bin Mamud was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 83 minutes. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a wondrous free kick after 85 minutes, but
Dexter Stacey made a beautiful one-handed save. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
Most important Grilled player was
Marc Pujolràs.
Yvan Lefébure turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating CCP player was without a doubt
Zulharisan bin Mamud. However,
Rene Takacs made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
