Grilled 6 - 1 Utila
brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 2977 to The Cooking Pot.
Henry Selbratt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Hans-Toby Kolitsch and
Adrian Wiedlhofer. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. The following players took the field: Silvera - Ross, Olsson, Behr, Mausisa - Stanca, Josefsson, Mourão - 修宇 (Xiuyu), bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang).
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Utila. They fielded: Moreno - Madariaga, Avellano, Olivos, Zelic - Aizpurua, Liepa, Murillo, Arnon, Roveda - Fernández.
Utila clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
Castor Aizpurua knocked one home from a counter-attack down the right wing, making the score 0 - 1 after 17 minutes. With a shot floated in from just outside the penalty area after 22 minutes played,
Niculae Stanca of Grilled evened the score to 1 - 1. 23 minutes into the game, Utila seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
solid level of organization. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 28 minutes played, but
Edvaldo Mourão's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Grilled took the lead 32 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by
Ronny Behr that made the score 2 - 1. 34 minutes in, Utila appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only
passable. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
Walter Ross. Grilled's
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim got himself booked for a foul. It was 2 - 1 at the break. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 77 percent of the time.
The Utila players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again. The home side's
Ronny Behr curled a free kick home after 48 minutes, putting Grilled ahead 3 - 1. Utila's
Emiliano Moreno had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 54 minutes having been played.
Guyuk Ogotai was the replacement. Grilled's
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) had an excellent opportunity after 56 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 60 minutes, Utila switched
Avia Arnon with
Carlos Morgado, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Grilled's
Niculae Stanca was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The Utila player who had to be helped off the pitch, was
Sergio Fernández as he was unable to finish the game.
Manuel Padilla came in to finish the match. Grilled solidified their lead at the 64 minute mark, as
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 4 - 1. 67 minutes in, Utila's
Otto Avellano received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grilled's
Edvaldo Mourão soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the header home 72 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Ronny Behr dashed through, knocking home 5 - 1 for Grilled. At that,
Ronny Behr was noted down for a hat trick. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Roberto Mausisa found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. After 83 minutes, Grilled's
Ronny Behr found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 6 - 1. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 70 percent possession of the ball.
Grilled's best player was
范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu).
Niculae Stanca on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Utila player was
Manuel Padilla.
Andrejs Liepa was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
