Grilled decided to use a ‭5-2-3‬ set up. They fielded: Dias Paes - Ross, Crkvenjakov, Behr, 俊桂 (Jungui), Mausisa - Pujolràs, Back - bin Mohamad, Bögengang, Ying Lee.

For their match strategy, Grilled had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The counterattack by Grilled resulted in a free kick that Domenik Bögengang bent under the crossbar - 0 - 1! A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Domenik Bögengang after 17 minutes, and prevented Grilled from going up another goal. The referee showed Grilled's Erik Back the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 30 minutes, Grilled's Safri bin Mohamad swiftly ran past Bruno Brandão to put away the 0-2 goal. At 34 minutes into the game, seluraralc's Can Arafat deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2. No matter how hard he tried, Stéphane Mabon just couldn't get shot past the visitors' right side defence after 39 minutes. seluraralc's Jesús Puelles put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored the 2 - 2 goal with 40 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. seluraralc claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

Walter Ross received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 60 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 62 minutes into the game, Chow Ying Lee finished off a left wing counter attack, scoring 2 - 3 for Grilled. Aymeric Guillon charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equalizer for seluraralc, but the shot went well wide of the goal. With 74 minutes played, Lorenzo Minicucci went down in a suspected penalty situation after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee, having a good line of sight, signalled to keep playing. The bench was restless, and in the 75th minute seluraralc's coach gave Fausto Mercadante the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Bruno Brandão reluctantly left the field. seluraralc enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

Most important seluraralc player was Stéphane Mabon. Fausto Mercadante turned in a dismal performance, however. Domenik Bögengang performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand, Walter Ross's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 3.
