Grilled 3 - 2 DTP
ear skies welcomed the 4027 spectators who had made their way to The Cooking Pot.
Kai-Detlef Poecho was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Salum Siyame and
Štefan Čuchran. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 5-2-3 combination. Starters: Silvera - Crkvenjakov, Olsson, Behr, 俊桂 (Jungui), Mausisa - Ross, Stanca - 修宇 (Xiuyu), bin Mohamad, 勇航 (Yonghang).
DTP had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Rosato - Buil, Sowirth, Petrescu, Miranda - Kjærulff, Enst, De Saedeleer, Göktürk - Tyrjä, Păun.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Grilled on this day. DTP immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. Coming in from the right, Grilled had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 29 minutes, but
Safri bin Mohamad's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Grilled's
Niculae Stanca was shown a yellow card after 32 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 33 minutes into the match Grilled's
Björn Olsson head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. 40 minutes into the game, Grilled had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to
inadequate. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. DTP enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
The Grilled players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
Antti Tyrjä's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 47 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a snappy through ball to
Vali Păun who knocked it in for DTP. 0-1! DTP's
Toader Petrescu got himself booked for a foul. The home crowd cheered when, after 49 minutes,
Toader Petrescu's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. When
Niculae Stanca made yet another studs-first tackle after 53 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Grilled player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. Grilled was now without a captain, so it was left to
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) to take the captain's armband. Although the counter attack was halted by the defenders, Grilled were given a free kick 58 minutes into the game. Rather than shooting straight at goal, it was directed at the area just in front of the keeper. The attackers made several runs and made it hard for the defenders to protect their goal. After a short tussle with a defender,
Safri bin Mohamad could finally lay the ball to rest behind the keeper. 1 - 1, and proof it can pay off to come prepared. 60 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable. DTP's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. This half belonged to DTP, who controlled the ball 84 percent of the time.
Not having decided a winner at the end of regulation, the match went into extra time. Grilled's coach took some time during the break to go over his strategy, which raised Grilled's organization to
solid. DTP's
Godert De Saedeleer could have put the guests one up after 104 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
Alvaro Silvera was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Grilled's
Walter Ross was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 106 minutes. DTP's
Antti Tyrjä made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 112 minutes into the match. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
Toader Petrescu was unable to give the visitors the go-ahead goal after his attack from the left 116 minutes into the match. With the score still deadlocked after extra time, the teams took to the field for a penalty contest to decide the winner.
Grilled's
Ronny Behr kept his cool as he faced down
Daniele Rosato. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 2 - 1. DTP's
Henrik Kjærulff showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalty contests, easily changing the score to 2 - 2. Grilled's
Safri bin Mohamad hesitated a long time before shooting a penalty going just wide of the left post. Still 2 - 2. DTP's
Daniele Rosato looked insecure all the way from laying the ball down to clipping the ball miles wide of the crossbar. No goal. Grilled's
范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu) didn't hesitate but
Daniele Rosato managed the save, resulting in an unchanged 2 - 2 score. DTP's
Alexis Buil was seemingly taken by the gravity of the moment, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of
Alvaro Silvera. Score still 2 - 2. Overwhelmed by the pressure, Grilled's
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) put the ball right into the waiting arms of
Daniele Rosato. The scores stays 2 - 2. A confident
Tanju Göktürk of DTP put the ball right where he wanted, but
Alvaro Silvera was right there for the save. No goal. Grilled's
林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 3 - 2! Clearly nervous from the start, DTP's
Stefan Miranda's attempt sailed far wide of the goal. The score remains 3 - 2.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Safri bin Mohamad.
Alvaro Silvera turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important DTP player was
Tjalf Sowirth.
Tanju Göktürk was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
