Grilled came close to extending their lead as 林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 7 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Grilled's Gleb Dorogan had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 16 minutes having been played. Quah Han Kok was the replacement. With 17 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was 林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui). The visitors' Domenik Bögengang took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 20 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Grilled. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Erik Back's speed was clear to see after 35 minutes as he darted past his marker and struck an opening pass to Safri bin Mohamad who scored the 0-4 goal. The home crowd cheered when, after 37 minutes, Domenik Bögengang's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile Marc Pujolràs. 54 minutes into the game, Vittorio Bandirali had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came 鲍 (Bao) 荣方 (Rongfang) . Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Anders Josefsson replace Kyou-Chull Kim after 60 minutes. As Domenik Bögengang was substituted 60 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) was the replacement.
