Grilled 6 - 0 Sentosa

ouds darkened the skies at The Cooking Pot as 52672 spectators turned up for the match. Keimo Klinga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eimutis Audrinis and Rien Hagestijn. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Starters: Dias Paes - Crkvenjakov, Behr, Mausisa - Back, Kim, Dorogan, Lefébure - bin Mohd Kassim, Bögengang, Ying Lee.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sentosa. Lineup: Boev - Abud, Menzinger, Beccani - Savitaipale, Denis, Pinedo, Krasnogorov, Perović - Bobuľský, Grau.

Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Sentosa mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for team Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle to get them on. Yvan Lefébure's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal up the middle after 19 minutes gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. Cheers filled the stadium as Domenik Bögengang broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 2 - 0 goal for Grilled. Vukota Crkvenjakov unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Grilled's Kyou-Chull Kim wanted to play on, but 46 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for Anders Josefsson. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Grilled's lead to 3 - 0 as Chow Ying Lee finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Quah Han Kok came on for Erik Back. 64 minutes into the game, Frédéric Menzinger had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Leow An Han. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Leow An Han took over the role of being the Sentosa captain. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim putting the lead up to 4 - 0. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. 74 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Domenik Bögengang dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for Grilled. Yvan Lefébure seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in the 6-0 goal for Grilled after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Domenik Bögengang. After an industrious effort down the middle, Ronny Behr could have closed the game off after 80 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 58 percent of possession.

Domenik Bögengang performed admirably for Grilled. Roberto Mausisa on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Sentosa player was without a doubt Florestan Grau. However, Leow An Han made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 0.
