Isa Ansori Mahmood enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. The referee signalled a penalty 9 minutes into the game following an offence just inside of the box. Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob knocked home the 0 - 2 goal just outside the reach of the goalkeeper. Grilled's 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) got himself booked for a foul. Grilled's Anders Josefsson made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 16 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender sprang up, clearing the ball on the line. Islanders's Moy Jin-Han startled Hao Chi-Cheung with an unexpected pass. Unfortunately, the receiver was too stunned by the play to convert the perfect setup into a goal. After 26 minutes, Grilled's Ângelo Cunha Simões burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 70 percent of possession.

Grilled's Erik Back wanted to play on, but 60 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for Quah Han Kok. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Edvaldo Mourão came on for Kyou-Chull Kim. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Edvaldo Mourão took over the role of being the Grilled captain. A drive on the left side allowed Grilled's Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob to get in close and score a goal after 73 minutes, leading to 0 - 4. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's Ângelo Cunha Simões a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 81 minutes into the game. After 86 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 5. 87 minutes in, Grilled appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only weak. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 78 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Islanders player was without a doubt Zhi Vu-Anh. Lo Yi-min turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Grilled player was Quah Han Kok. Chua Qiang Dong was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
