Grilled 0 - 4 CCP

e crowd of 44175 turning up at The Cooking Pot today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Joachim Prick was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Oğuz Yurd and Tomi Elze. Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Lineup: Dias Paes - Crkvenjakov, Behr, Mausisa - Penati, Back, Lefébure, Dorogan - bin Mohamad, Bögengang, Ying Lee.

CCP decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Vollaers - Visky, Spadavecchia, Schmidt, Chee Khin - Aik Leng, bin Mamud, Chang De, 偌林 (Ruolin) , Daday - bin Yusop.

Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. With 3 minutes played, CCP's Zulharisan bin Mamud fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Zulharisan bin Mamud for diving. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 5 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy, Adriano Spadavecchia struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. CCP's Deng Aik Leng was shown a yellow card after 13 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The game had been on for 15 minutes when Lun Chee Khin broke through on the right, upping the score for CCP to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. Ronny Behr challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 32 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball combination. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's Safri bin Mohamad got himself booked. It was 0 - 2 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by CCP, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's Erik Back was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. Kyou-Chull Kim was given a chance to change things around. With 60 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Quah Han Kok came on, Ciro Penati had to leave the fray. There wasn't much opportunity for rapid movements on this wet day, which hindered Roberto Mausisa in particular. The away team's Sebastian Schmidt took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 79 minutes which increased CCP's lead to 0 - 3. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for CCP. Grilled had to manage with a reduced squad after 87 minutes, as Yvan Lefébure got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. Lun Chee Khin increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. CCP enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Grilled's best player was Valdir Dias Paes. However, Roberto Mausisa made a disastrous appearance. Deng Aik Leng performed admirably for CCP. Lun Chee Khin was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
