Grilled 1 - 0 LA
774 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Robin Fabian Trepel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ernest de la Lastra and
Magno Oliva. Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Starters: Dias Paes - Crkvenjakov, Behr, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, Han Kok, Dorogan - Bögengang, bin Mohd Kassim, Rotteveel.
LA had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Jimenez - Humphreys, Thomsen, Zeiner, Senvall - Abbeldwatsch, Stepen, Judež, Behringer - Edel, Senzanonna.
Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. After 17 minutes LA's
Siegfried Zeiner had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony.
Mohd Zulfakri bin Md Jan came in to replace him. They were singing the praises of
Domenik Bögengang 21 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from just outside the centre part of the opponent's penalty area found its way over the visitors keeper to make the score 1 - 0 for Grilled. Grilled's
Ciro Penati had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 25 minutes having been played.
封 (Feng) 达荣 (Darong) was the replacement. With 42 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of LA resulted in a counterattack that set
Bastien Edel free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
Kalle Senvall of LA received a yellow card after 52 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 53 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Domenik Bögengang might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Ramón Jimenez made a spectacular save.
Domenik Bögengang should probably have put his team up another goal after 69 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
Ramón Jimenez kept the visitors in the game. LA had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 70 minutes, but
Milan Judež's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Valdir Dias Paes.
封 (Feng) 达荣 (Darong) on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important LA player was
Milan Judež. On the other hand,
Mohd Zulfakri bin Md Jan's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 0.
