After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. 41 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty that Maikel Rotteveel turned into 5 - 0 without a problem. By then Maikel Rotteveel was a three time scorer - a hat trick! 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

Grilled's Domenik Bögengang swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, De_Sangkakala's José Javia got himself booked. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
