Yang Turns Pro
Strong midfielder Yang Xianlin left on a free to III.7 champions UEFA, being the second Grilled youth academy graduate to directly make the crosstown move after Seet Tian Li, who is now an insurance agent after several unfruitful seasons.
Yang is hopeful that he can stick around, and holds that his relatively old age of nearly nineteen would work in his favour. "I've learnt a lot by staying with the Chicken Wings, and probably more mature than most of the others."
He was backed up in his assessment by UEFA's first-team midfielder Abd Rahim bin Othman, another Grilled alumnus, who spent a few months in Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Cup-winning club AttackEnemy before returning to Singapore.
"It's always nice to see new guys making it from my first club." Abd Rahim noted. "I'll have to look over my shoulder more than ever."
