Satans 0 - 2 Grilled

880 fans braved the pouring rain at The Hell. Jody Shakeshaft was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Volkmar Gorbach and Maciek Peksa. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Satans. Starters: Grafhorst - Kin Hung, Nojman, Perret, Ming Yong - Parkhomchuk, Roldán, Didović, Wright - Wan Ho, Moral.

Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Dias Paes - Árva, Behr, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, Han Kok, MacKinnon - Rotteveel, Bögengang, bin Mohd Kassim.

For their match strategy, Grilled had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Maikel Rotteveel's lightning pace was too much for Dieter Perret who could only look on as the Grilled player blasted one home. 0 - 1. After 11 minutes, Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. Matthias Branbilla did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Zeng Wan Ho tried lifting the ball over keeper Valdir Dias Paes. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Grilled almost scored after a swift counterattack 32 minutes into the game, but Maikel Rotteveel put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. Anatol Nojman had a grin on his face as he raced down the field, almost oblivious to the rain. Satans's Doug Wright could only shake his head after completely missing a penalty shot 39 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Satans claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

The crowd groaned when Viktor Parkhomchuk, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for Satans. 54 minutes in, Satans's Zeng Wan Ho received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when Doug Wright tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. Valdir Dias Paes was too alert for that! After 85 minutes, Zeng Wan Ho had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Satans with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. Satans enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Most important Satans player was Zeng Wan Ho. Anatol Nojman on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Valdir Dias Paes. Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
