Grilled started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Mirchev, Woon Jin, bin Yaacob, 顺国 (Shunguo) - Tong Ping, Shun Jin, Jun Chang - Salieri, Torsson, 力海 (Lihai) .

Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a goal after 20 minutes by Pietro Cicuta for CFA, putting them ahead 1 - 0. With 24 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, Lim Shun Jin needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Massimo Attanasio increased CFA's lead to 2 - 0, putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. Jérôme Michelin should probably have put his team up another goal after 28 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by Hang Bao-Tam kept the visitors in the game. After an industrious effort down the middle, Pietro Cicuta could have closed the game off after 30 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. CFA's Massimo Attanasio got himself booked for a foul. Things were deteriorating for the away team as CFA scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Julien Caron after 34 minutes. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for CFA. It was 3 - 0 at the break. This half belonged to CFA, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

A great save by keeper Hang Bao-Tam after 47 minutes kept the visitors in the game after José Monreal struck from the left with a real cannonball. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes 鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) made way for Ângelo Cunha Simões. After 74 minutes Grilled's Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. CFA put themselves up 4 - 0 when Massimo Attanasio broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. CFA's José Monreal saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 76 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased CFA's lead to 5 - 0 as Max Drieux finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. 87 minutes into the game, CFA had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to inadequate. With 87 minutes played, CFA's José Monreal tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The forty-five minutes were dominated by CFA, with an impressive 72 percent possession of the ball.

Niels Haugaard performed admirably for CFA. Enes José Fragoso was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Michele Salieri. Hang Bao-Tam on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
