Time Has Kum

17 year-old goalkeeper Kum Jun Chun was snapped up by Spanish Division Eight club Sunshine Express for a good S$600 000, beating out Istanbul club MaRTiLLo F.C. of the Turkish fourth division, Tapipa of Venezuela and Or & Hila of Israel. Apparently, some in the club had wanted to keep Kum as Valdir's backup, but the youngster took the advice of his parents, which was to develop his talent as quickly as possible.

Grilled's youth team, the Chicken Wings, have managed well despite losing their goalkeeper, as teenage sensation Sri Jaafar bin Ramli scored twice to help them to a 3-2 win over longtime rivals Rob Rangers. Scouts have singled out local Eurasian lad Mark Matthews as another one to watch, and hopes are high that the two will eventually form the nucleus of another great Grilled side.
