Leong Left

All-rounded youth player Leong Chun Woon got his wish as he signed professional terms with Italian Division Nine club spartascracia, just days before his eighteenth birthday. The self-professed winger, who however has shown talent in defence and up front, brought a S$33 346 fee for his parent club, as French Division Seven team La crapelo saw Leong slip through their fingers.

Leong was reportedly delighted at the opportunity, and youth coach Alex Chan reckons spartascracia have got themselves a real bargain.

"He may not look it, but Leong's one of the most complete players I've coached at the Chicken Wings." Chan noted. "He may not tear down the wings like some of the others, but put him up front, in the middle or at the back, he'll go and do a good job. Doesn't get enough respect for that, and if you ask me that versatility is important in a young player."
