23 year-old Swede Peter Fjällbratt returned to his native Scandinavia, linking up with Norway Division Six club Sulsted after five seasons and nine professional goals with the Birds. The tall midfielder mentioned that homesickness and Grilled's need to raise funds both played a part in his decision. The sale brought Grilled a much needed S$800 000 and change.

"It's been a long time in Singapore, and I'll fondly remember my stay here with such a wonderful club." Fjällbratt said. "The heat's not for me, however, and my parents were getting tired of yearly visits. This way, I'll be much closer to home."

Söders AIK and sälbaktkrök (Swedish Division Six and Seven respectively) also put in acceptable offers for the midfielder, but were turned down by Fjällbratt. "I want to be near my parents, but not too near." he explained half-jokingly.
