Academy Worries

There has been a silent vote of no confidence against Grilled's Young Wings youth academy, as a group of concerned fans have formed a protest group to bring to attention the academy's worsening results. "The Academy has received adequate funding but is turning out mediocre talents," group leader Ali bin Shariff said. "After Au-Young Siu-Yue came up through the ranks two seasons ago, no young player has impressed."

Recent promotees have not been inspiring, with Ng Da Wen and Ding Yen-Chi failing to win contracts, and Mohd Ali bin Shariff only able to earn a free transfer to Canadian side TarajjiWariors. Grilled's upper management sought to mollify the group by putting it down to a mixture of plain luck and the improvement of Grilled's first team. "We have turned away youngsters whom would have walked into the team in our first seasons. We are on top of the situation and have a plan in mind."
