Peace 2 - 1 Grilled
e to an all-day shower, 3196 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at P&W Forever Arena.
Rainer Löb was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Griffin Ahmed and
Daantje Jansen. Peace had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Gak-Wee - Barker, He, Yao-Pang, Karamürsel, Trangård - Manzoor, Blomin, Tai, I-san - Chun-Beng.
Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Bao-Tam - Siu-Cheung, Alcántara, Dewilde - Åhsten, Blissenbach, Fernández Riviera, Kek-Tjiang, Ze - Stern, Kolesov.
Peace were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. With 2 minutes played, Grilled's
Shen Kek-Tjiang fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Shen Kek-Tjiang for diving.
Antonio Fernández Riviera gave the visitors the lead 8 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area. After 29 minutes Peace's
Kristoffer Trangård contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Peace's
Tomas Blomin put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 35 minutes, but the ball went wide. Peace's
Danny Barker got himself booked for a foul. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Peace held the ball, with a clear 56 percent of possession.
Kristoffer Trangård sprang high, as always, and was very close to scoring with a header after a corner, but just barely missed. With 76 minutes having been played, Peace's
Tomas Blomin made a rush down the left, leaving him free to put the 1 - 1 equaliser away.
Kristoffer Trangård received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 84 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a goal after 86 minutes by
Shao Yao-Pang for Peace, putting them ahead 2 - 1. With 87 minutes having been played, Grilled's
Shen Kek-Tjiang had to leave the pitch after receiving his second booking. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Peace, with an impressive 80 percent possession of the ball.
Most important Peace player was
Guan He. However,
Ma Gak-Wee made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Johan Dewilde.
Antonio Fernández Riviera was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
