Marcochow 0 - 3 Grilled

irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 60000 to Chow's Fortress. Oliver Helmus was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gerald Raff and Luuri Poska. Marcochow started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Infante - Świerski, Young-Soo, Sharma, bin Musa, Wai Kong - Skogskär, Nyborn, Cheng-Chi - Bakkeskov, Sonderhausen.

Grilled decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Starters: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Fredgård, Bona - van Liere, Han Kok, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin - Hjortlind, Martinsson, Kadak.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Marcochow. Proving his experience, Ola Martinsson scored 0 - 1 for Grilled after putting some pressure on the opposing defence at a critical moment. Alex Infante kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when Sylweriusz Zywczyn delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. Marcochow's Laurids Bakkeskov left the field after 19 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Felix Mathes-Schmidt. Marcochow were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 22 minutes into the match, but Xing Cheng-Chi narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. The referee showed Marcochow's Benjamin Sonderhausen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Ulf Hjortlind was, after 29 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper Alex Infante made the save. Marcochow had to make a substitution after 35 minutes. Björn Nyborn limped off the field and was replaced by Mattias Olofsson. What ever got into Vidarbh Sharma, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of Grilled's Ola Martinsson, who easily put the ball away for 0-2 after 38 minutes. By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 77 percent of possession.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Marcochow's Wee Wai Kong got himself booked. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Hidde van Liere would have put Grilled up another goal 70 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. The visitors' Sylweriusz Zywczyn took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 74 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Grilled. The defensive line of Marcochow created a counterattack through the middle that gave Faziallah bin Musa a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 78 minutes in, Marcochow's Mattias Olofsson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.

Marcochow's top performer was clearly Wee Wai Kong. However, Felix Mathes-Schmidt made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's top performer was clearly Shen Kek-Tjiang. Ulf Hjortlind on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.
