Chemistry 2 - 3 Grilled
793 punters turned up at The Acidic City, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Rysiek Kośka was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Roland Wyssen and
Ignacio 'El gran capità' Irulegui. Chemistry tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Starters: Lantos - Kai-Xi, Huat De, Haafkens - Karlsson, Niklasson, Caen-Khim, bin Abd Jalil - bin Yusuf, Nunez, Mazilu.
Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Kek-Tjiang, Bona - van Liere, Han Kok, Spirig, Paullin, Borup - Martinsson, Kadak.
Chemistry's
Remeli bin Abd Jalil tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Chemistry took the lead 32 minutes in, as
Faziallah bin Yusuf broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
Tan Huat De almost managed to score another goal for Chemistry, coming from the right, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors' keeper. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.
After an industrious effort down the middle,
Faziallah bin Yusuf could have closed the game off after 60 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. Grilled levelled the score after 63 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as
Ola Martinsson struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle, leaving him completely unmarked. Chemistry fans held their breath as
Qin Caen-Khim scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the go-ahead goal for 2-1! After 68 minutes of play, Grilled's
Hidde van Liere unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all and
Ola Martinsson forwarded it into goal for 2 - 2. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 72 minutes allowed
Ola Martinsson to score the 2 - 3 goal for Grilled. That made three goals for
Ola Martinsson and he was marked down for the hat trick. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
Most important Chemistry player was
Brúnó Lantos. However,
Remo Haafkens made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was
Lorenz Paullin.
Shen Kek-Tjiang on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
