Tanglin 0 - 4 Grilled
irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 7000 to Tanglin Park.
Klemens Thouvay was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mikko Pönkänen and
Cees Jan Blaas. Tanglin had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Van-Khai - Kim-Chuan, Wan-Wai, Shou-Mei, Ting-Tang - Shih-hsiung, bin Mokhtar, Yong-Jin, Seong-min - Shih-hsiung, Ju-Ok.
Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Seng-Huat, Tuan-Mu, Sun-Nee - Seng-kar, Yew-Hoe, Ju-Hau, Machado, Magnusson - Chiew-Yen, Hobson.
Chen Chiew-Yen came close to putting the visiting team one up 8 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
Won Van-Khai managed to tip the ball to a corner. 18 minutes in, Tanglin's
Shuo Shih-hsiung received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 26 minutes into the match left Grilled's
Ricard Machado completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 29 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
Chai Yew-Hoe was noted down as the scorer.
Ding Sun-Nee increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 3. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 80 percent.
Grilled's
Lan Tuan-Mu made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 51 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender sprang up, clearing the ball on the line. With 56 minutes played, Grilled's
Ricard Machado fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Ricard Machado for diving. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 57 minutes, making it 0 - 4.

Tim Hobson was noted down as the scorer. By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead.
Chen Chiew-Yen of Grilled received a yellow card after 58 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Chai Yew-Hoe received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 72 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 96 percent.
Tanglin's best player was
Zou Kim-Chuan. However,
Nor Zeland bin Mokhtar made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Hang Bao-Tam.
Ding Sun-Nee on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.
