Clown 0 - 4 Grilled

47 spectators had come to Royal Circus this cloudy day. Lutz Gerharter was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lucio Fortunato and Péter Kiprich. Clown had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Bonilla - Roldán, Kostadinović, DalsgÃ¥rd, Heredia - Mancheño, Navia, Bertilsson, de Roest, Floto - Cabrera.

Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Bao-Tam - Alcántara, Tuan-Mu, Seng-Huat - van Liere, Jie Siong, Abd Hamid, Spirig, Paullin - Hobson, Hjortlind.

Clown immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. Grilled's 0 - 1 goal came on a questionable penalty, but Tim Hobson" alt="Tim Hobson">Tim Hobson struck that one home without a second thought. Clown pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Torbjörn Bertilsson behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 24 minutes as he gave the ball away to Bukhari Abd Hamid. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. The game had been on for 29 minutes when Tim Hobson" alt="Tim Hobson">Tim Hobson broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. Lee Jie Siong was, after 38 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper Gonzalo Bonilla made the save. The referee showed Clown's Elias Roldán the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled were forced to a substitution as Lan Tuan-Mu couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Nor Suhaimi bin Che Lah to come in from the sidelines. 42 minutes into the game, Clown seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organization. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.

During the break, Clown's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organization. Tim Hobson" alt="Tim Hobson">Tim Hobson increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. This third goal made a hat trick for Tim Hobson" alt="Tim Hobson">Tim Hobson. 61 minutes in, Clown appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only weak. With 62 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Lee Jie Siong. After 78 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Clown's Elias Roldán being carried off the pitch and replaced by Ben van Beijnum. Weng Seng-Huat came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over Gonzalo Bonilla and it was a little too high and hit the bar. The referee showed Clown's Niceto Heredia the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 66 percent of possession.

Most important Clown player was Ben van Beijnum. Niceto Heredia was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Hidde van Liere. Weng Seng-Huat on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.
