Rubiskaya 2 - 3 Grilled

064 spectators had come to Rubiskaya Arena this cloudy day. Manuel Pozuelo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ben Geisberger and Bobbie Frings. Rubiskaya started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Yo-Hsin - Kwong-Hin, Cuk-Ming, Bounine, Wee-Keng - Kee-Boem, Huat-Seng, Larsson - Guo-Ning, Shrubb, bin Omar.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Bao-Tam - bin Che Lah, Tuan-Mu, Sun-Nee - Dai-Lin, Ju-Hau, Yew-Hoe, Kek-Tjiang, Noor Yadah - Machado, Reed.

After 6 minutes, Grilled's Ricard Machado made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Rubiskaya had to make a substitution after 12 minutes. Boris Bounine limped off the field and was replaced by Dai Kuo-feng. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 16 minutes, making it 0 - 2. Chai Yew-Hoe was noted down as the scorer. Ding Sun-Nee came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over Sha Yo-Hsin and it was a little too high and hit the bar. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 64 percent of possession.

After 49 minutes Grilled's Miguel Reed limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Yang Kee-Boem was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Rubiskaya's Danny Shrubb managed to get hold of the rebound and scored the 1-2 goal. Rubiskaya's Lei Guo-Ning put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored the 2 - 2 goal with 70 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. Shen Kek-Tjiang received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 78 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Grilled took the lead 83 minutes into the game, scoring the 2 - 3 goal after some elegant plays down the middle. Chai Yew-Hoe was the scorer. The referee showed Rubiskaya's Danny Shrubb the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Rubiskaya's Da Huat-Seng made a successful breakthrough on the left after 85 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. Grilled's Chai Yew-Hoe refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 85 minutes. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Rubiskaya player was without a doubt Yang Kee-Boem. Dai Kuo-feng was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Ma Dai-Lin. Miguel Reed on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
