Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Harlow - Liehner, Bona, Falkbo - Stanton, Spirig, Jie Siong, Han Kok, Borup - Langeland, Martinsson.

Grilled took the lead after 8 minutes with 0 - 1. Quah Han Kok placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. The visitors' Quah Han Kok took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 12 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Grilled. By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. With 18 minutes played, Grilled's Ola Martinsson missed a penalty when the keeper made a premature dive in the right direction, and tipped the ball out of the way. A marvellous United effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 26 minutes by Gustav Mårtensson, making the score 1 - 2. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Ahmad Termuzi bin Mat Sharif. At last, United's Gustav Mårtensson was able to shove the ball in. 2-2. Grilled had a good opportunity to score the lead goal but the home team's goaltender Bai Thanh-Phuong saved Quah Han Kok's shot that was headed for the top corner from the right. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

After 70 minutes, Grilled put themselves up by 2 - 3, as Quah Han Kok finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. By then Quah Han Kok was a three time scorer - a hat trick! Grilled's Ola Martinsson made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 77 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender sprang up, clearing the ball on the line. United tried to even things up by sending a long play towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. After 86 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Dani Spirig who increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 4. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's Dani Spirig got himself booked. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 59 percent of possession.

Most important United player was Lim Tian Shi. Bai Thanh-Phuong on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was Jörgen Falkbo. Lee Jie Siong on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 4.
