Mainland 6 - 0 Grilled

43 spectators arrived at Giuseppe de Miesua, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Gleb Parashchuk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mats Stighult and Avi Dabush. Mainland started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. Lineup: Runtini - Berntsson, Maclean, Yourdika, Marquès, Pandeynuwu - Indarto, Hasanudin, Andersson - Börjesson, Koibur.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Bao-Tam - bin Che Lah, Tuan-Mu, Pakpao - Paullin, Borup, Spirig, Han Kok, Barbour - Chiew-Yen, Seng-kar.

Mainland clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. They were singing the praises of Mursyid Indarto 16 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from just outside the centre part of the opponent's penalty area found its way over the visitors keeper to make the score 1 - 0 for Mainland. With 17 minutes played, Grilled's Quah Han Kok fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Quah Han Kok for diving. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Affan Yourdika squirmed himself through their central defence after 31 minutes, bringing the lead to 2 - 0. After this, Mainland lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. 35 minutes in, Mainland's Albert Marquès received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Mainland's Mats Börjesson putting the lead up to 3 - 0. 37 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Suwita Pandeynuwu dashed through, knocking home 4 - 0 for Mainland. Grilled had to manage with a reduced squad after 37 minutes, as Gao Seng-kar got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. 38 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Conny Andersson dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for Mainland. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Mainland claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

After 48 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Albert Marquès might have resulted in another goal for Mainland. However, Hang Bao-Tam made a spectacular save. 71 minutes in, Mainland appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only weak. With 76 minutes played, Abu Koibur could have brought this one home for Mainland as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Mainland's Abu Koibur putting the lead up to 6 - 0. Abu Koibur should probably have put his team up another goal after 77 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by Hang Bao-Tam kept the visitors in the game. With 79 minutes played, Grilled's Terkel Borup fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Terkel Borup for diving. Mainland held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.

Most important Mainland player was Conny Andersson. However, Mursyid Indarto made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Dani Spirig. Chen Chiew-Yen was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
